I’m the Only Wife in My Circle Who Hasn’t Had Lipo and a Face Lift
And my husband is growing impatient.
Growing up, I never thought I’d get plastic surgery — mostly because spending thousands of dollars for a completely unnecessary, yet life-threatening procedure seemed out of the realm of financial reality…and a little bit nuts. That was long before hubby — and his bank account — entered the frame.
Then, as my “pre-wedding present”, he bought me a pair of boobs — and as I was lacking in that department and they would help fill out my dress, I obliged. Luckily, my bandages came off and stitches dissolved weeks ahead of the big day — and our guests didn’t seem to notice my inability to raise my arms above my shoulders on the dance floor.
In case you’re wondering, purchasing a new pair of boobs within a year of pregnancy is quite unnecessary and I 10/10 would not recommend.
Unfortunately, fake boobs don’t counteract the effects of two pregnancies (one with twins) on your entire body. I guess I didn’t get the memo, but apparently, liposuction, a tummy tuck, and a face lift are the post-pregnancy requirements to maintain a happy marriage. My husband didn’t flat-out say that I’m too fat and ugly for his liking — it was more strongly implied.
