Hi Denise - please see my response to Jennifer above. The prenup, residences and businesses outside of CA, and potential for character debasement by my husband make things a little more murky. In a more straight-forward situation (one residence, one (or no) business, and a spouse who wouldn't go so far as to defame my character for pure revenge), you'd be completely right. Given our complex situation, I'm just not so sure.
